About Noémie Ben Harrous:
Dear Madam, Sir,
I am a recent graduate of a Master's degree in Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution delivered by Paris-Panthéon-Assas University. I am currently completing the Paris Bar School curriculum by joining the litigation department of CMS Francis Lefebvre in Paris in July until December 2023 before leaving for Singapore to finalize my studies as a trainee-lawyer.
I would like to specialize in international business law and in international commercial litigation hence my choice to take part in the LLM in International Business Law offered by Paris-PanthéonAssas University in Singapore. Therefore, I am convinced that undertaking my internship at your firm would be a unique and exceptional opportunity to acquire practical knowledge and expertise in various prominent fields of business law and on a global and international scale.
During my academic years, I had the opportunity to take part in a double degree in French and Common Law offered by Paris-Panthéon-Assas University which allowed me, after two years of French law studies, to study Common Law for two years at University College Dublin, in Ireland. I was thus able to discover the Common Law legal system while improving my level of English and acquiring knowledge in various areas such as in banking law, company law, criminal law... This degree enabled me to complete a Bachelor of Civil Law from University College Dublin in parallel with a Master's degree in Civil and Common Law at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University. Furthermore, I decided to enroll last year in the Master 2 Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University as I wanted to focus on litigation and arbitration related to business law internationally.
This professional Master's degree gave me the opportunity to take part in two complementary internships during the second semester, one at the law firm Teynier Pic specialized in arbitration and business litigation and the other at the Commercial Court of Paris. The first internship gave me the possibility to be implicated in transnational arbitration cases and the second one enabled me to have a concrete overview on various aspects of business litigation such as on corporate matters, commercial leases... as well as to participate in deliberations and attend hearings. These two internships were a very enriching experience in their own way that comforted my choice to go into the practice of business litigation and international arbitration as a future lawyer. In addition, I worked part-time for 3 months in a law firm in Dublin (commercial and corporate law, real estate...) and completed a two-month summer internship in a commercial law firm in Paris in 2021.
To conclude, I am highly motivated, rigorous, open-minded and would like to reinforce my legal knowledge while gaining autonomy. Therefore, I would be honored to join you from January until May 2024 for a duration of 16 hours per week in parallel with my studies for the LLM.
I thank you for your interest in my application and remain available for any additional information.
Yours sincerely,
Noémie Ben Harrous
