Rajvrat Thapliyal

I have just ended national service as a Commando, and I am currently looking for a tech-related job that will allow me to be exposed to a similar field as my undergraduate degree that I will be pursuing at NUS. I am proficient in Python, have studied data analytics online, and am self-learning machine-learning algorithms. I own several Apple products and am familiar with the interface, even helping my parents sometimes navigate it. During my time in Commandos, I have taken leadership positions and have guided a team of 12 men during missions. Moreover, I am familiar with the service Industry, having worked with the Wine Connection Group as a part-time Captain. This demonstrates my excellent soft skills when speaking with customers to ensure positive customer experiences, an asset I hope to provide to Apple as a Genius. 

I have served in National Service as a Commando, where I worked with and led 12-man teams during missions. During this time, I have mastered excellent interpersonal and communication skills that allow me to work in teams effectively.

Moreover, I have worked at Wine Connection as a part-time Captain. I ensured positive dining experiences for our customers. I memorized various wines and several standard operating procedures for our services (e.g., wine recommendations and wine opening). I was taught how to effectively upsell products by memorizing various aspects of the product(e.g., wine tastes, notes and aromas.)

I have taken an online course by the National University of Singapore for a data analytics course online – ''Python for Analytics''). This is an accredited certificate of completion by NUS. I self-learn python and various libraries within python to better understand it before entering my data science degree at NUS.

Moreover, I received a GCE ‘A’ levels certificate after graduating from Anglo-Chinese Junior College.
