(1) Name of Assignment or Project : Contract J109 - DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF TOH GUAN STATION, JURONG TOWN HALL STATION, PANDAN RESERVIOR STATION AND VIADUCT JURONG REGION LINE

Year: November 2022 - Present

Location: Singapore

Client: Land Transport Authority (LTA)

Main Project Features: 

- 4.06km of elevated MRT viaduct (total of 1, 628 no's of precast twin & single cell segments) in typical Span-by-Span method of erection by two (2) launching gantries, balanced cantilever method by six (6) Lifting Frames including one (1) Movable Lifting Frame (50m+82m+50m), Hanging Beams and erection method by Crawler/Mobile Cranes for side spans. 

Positions Held: Sr. Bridge/Viaduct Engineer 

Activities Performed: 

Review, evaluate, recommend and approval of sub-contractor’s superstructure works, method statements for segment erections, geometric control 

of precast segments (Precast yard) and viaduct, post tensioning, Launching Gantries & Lifting Frames assembly including load test & commissioning for prior and/or official submission to Client Land Transport Authority/LTA. Prepare progress reports, checking of shop drawings, review technical reports & liaise with designers on technical & site issues, viaduct inspection with LTA, delegate works and schedule to site engineers, 

materials and other submittal pursuant to relevant contract requirements. Lead meetings with segment erection subcontractor (SDI – Strukturas DF International HK Co. Ltd.) and suppliers. Attend meeting with LTA and respond superstructures technical correspondences.

(2) Name of Assignment or Project : NORTH-SOUTH COMMUTER RAILWAY  EXTENSION Project (NSCR-EX)

Year: December 2020 – October 2022

Location: Philippines

Client: Department of Transportation (DOTr)

Main Project Features: 

- 15.5km of elevated rail way viaduct (6,186 no's of precast segments) in typical Span-by-Span PC Girder method, 1 extradosed bridge (80m+140m+80m) over MacArthur highway, 3 balanced cantilever bridges (1no. of 60m+100m+60m & 2no's of 50m+70m+50m) over existing roads and rivers, 1 steel box girder bridge (60m) over PNR’s old San Fernando Station and 350m of 2 to 3 cell cast-in-situ box girder bridges. 

Positions Held: Superstructure Engineer 

Activities Performed: 

Construction Supervision for Package CP N02 superstructure works of viaduct precast segments, Cast-in-situ, balanced cantilever and steel bridges – review technical documents, evaluate, recommend and approval of contractor’s construction method statements (Acciona & Daelim JV), shop drawings, assess contractors claims, schedule, payments & variations orders, temporary works, lead & manage site superstructure inspectors on material, quality and site inspections, approval of sub-contractors & suppliers, materials and other submittals pursuant to the relevant contract & specifications.

(3) Name of Assignment or Project : Kazungula Bridge Project

Year: July 2017 – September 2020 (38 months)

Location: Botswana & Zambia Africa

Client: Government of Botswana and Zambia Africa

Main Project Features: 

- Construction of pre-stressed concrete 923m - 54m+85m+(5x129m)+85m+54m extradosed curved cable stay bridge with 12 pylons and a single railway line using ERS [Embedded Rail System by Edilon)(Sedra] at center strip crossing the Zambezi river. Superstructure is built by form traveler 3~4m cast-in-situ segments in typical balanced cantilever method with extradosed stay cables and props supported/anchored for side spans.

Type of Foundations:

  • Spread footing connected monolithically with 1.2m Ø 42no’s steel pipe sheet piles (SPSP) foundations with stud welding bars combined cofferdam at river.
  • Spread footing supported 1.50m Ø bored piles foundation inside driven steel sheet piles cofferdam at land side.

Positions Held: Rail & Bridge Engineer

Activities Performed: 

- Prepare technical reports & method statements for substructures & superstructure works, manage, direct and supervision of works accordance to relevant approved drawings, safety and construction methods within contract specification. Write correspondences, manage/coordinate inspections and technical issues with consultants and client (Botswana & Zambian government). 

 

(4) Name of Assignment or Project : Bidbid – Sur Road Dualization 

Project – Section II (Ibra – Sur) 56Km 

Year: August 2016 – May 2017 (09 months)

Location: Oman

Client: MPW

Main Project Features: 

- 4 no’s cast-in-situ Post Tension Arch-Type Interchange Bridges and 4 no’s of WADI Post Tension pre cast 30 meter 378 no's of AASHTO girder Twin

Bridges. Bridge width – 18.650m.

- Type of Foundation: RC 0.80m Ø cast-in-situ bored piles

Positions Held: Senior Bridge Engineer

Activities Performed: 

- Project supervision - Ensure that Project (bridges & interchanges) is constructed in accordance to approved drawings and project specifications. Assist Resident Engineer in overall project management, review, evaluate, recommend and approval of contractor’s method statements (KAS Corsan-Corviam JV), shop drawings, construction schedule, claims & payment including variation orders, safety implementation, temporary works and other submittals pursuant to the quality standards & relevant contract specs. Manage site inspections and delegation of works to inspectors. 

  1. Name of Assignment or Project : Jamal Abdul Nasser Street Project 

(RA-167)

Year: April 2013 – July 2016 (39 months)

Location: Kuwait

Client: MPW

Main Project Features: 

- Construction of 6 to 8 lane 14km elevated highway/viaduct with 4 level interchange on Ghazali road, depressed road with two roundabout bridges and 3 interchanges made of prefabricated/precast segments. Segment erections are carried-out using Deal self-launching gantries for span by span and Deal lifting frames including crawler cranes for balanced cantilever erections.

- Type of Foundation: RC cast-in-situ bored piles

Positions Held: Bridge/Diaphragm Engineer

Activities Performed: 

- Responsible for overall management and operations of over 200 no’s. of cast in situ Superstructure Diaphragms, planning, organizing and coordinating the work of various disciplines and staff.

  1. Name of Assignment or Project : Jalan Song-Tung Jugah Upland Interchange

Year: November 2011 - March 2013 (16 months)

Location: Malaysia

Client: Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Sarawak

Main Project Features: 

- Construction of the two 318 meter dual-carriageway cast-in-situ concrete voided deck flyover at Jalan Song-Tun Jugah Junction and upgrading Jalan Tun Jugah, Jalan Song, and Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho. 

- Type of Foundation: 1.50m Ø Diameter Bored Pile 

Positions Held: Project Engineer

Activities Performed:

- Ensure that a project meets all contract and regulatory requirements to the predetermined schedule including coordination and management of subcontractors & suppliers.

  1. Name of Assignment or Project : Mega Bridges for Urban and Rural Development Project of the Presidents Bridge Program 

Year: May 2011 – October 2011 (06 months)

Location: Philippines

Client: Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)

Main Project Features: 

-Completed Project – Puerto Sayre Flyover (Cagayan De Oro). Prefabricated modular steel technology from France developed by Eiffel & Matiere, erected by incremental launching 195 lineal meter long consist of five spans, four piers supported on 1.5-meter diameter bored piles and 120 lineal meters approach.

- Type of Foundation: RC 1.50m Ø cast-in-situ bored piles

Positions Held: Resident Engineer

Activities Performed: 

- Ensure all construction is done in accordance with the design and specification and that all works are executed to the agreed standard. Overall responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and Project control.

  1. Name of Assignment or Project : Northrail Phase 1 – Caloocan to Clark Free Zone 

Year: August 2009 - May 2011 (21 months)

Main Project Features: 

- The 82 Km Rail Line Linking Caloocan City to Clark Special Economic Zone. 

- Bridges + Viaducts – 25.56Km (Total Lenght)

Positions Held: Senior Civil Engineer 

Activities Performed: 

- Oversee the Construction of concrete Bridges/Viaducts, Frame Bridges/Culverts, soil stabilization, Stations and all finishing works required. Assist Technical Manager & Quantity Surveyors on Technical matters concerning Design, Invoicing & Variation orders. Arrange and lead site meetings held at regular intervals with Contractors management team. Monitor day-to-day operations of the projects/activities, objectives and budget, coordinate activities with contractors and other government entities regarding progress and quality control.

Main Project Features:

- Kenyalang Interchange - construction of cast-in-situ superstructure consists of five (5) flyover bridges ranging from 247m to 461m long giving a 

total of 1835m. Each bridge carries two 3.5m traffic lanes with 

marginal strips on both sides of the carriageway.

- Type of Foundation: RC cast-in-situ bored piles

-Pujut and Puchong Interchanges - Construction of two flyover (Pujut & Puchong twin 2 Lane Bridges 498m & 508m), widening and 

rehabilitation of existing roads.

- Type of Foundation: RC cast-in-situ bored piles

-Redevelopment of Kuching International AirportRenovation of Terminal building floor space to 46, 000 sqm, upgrading airside and cargo aprons including extension of Runways and Taxiways above ground level earthworks from 2454m to 3780m capable of handling Boeing 747-400 and Airbus A380-800.

Positions Held: Project/Site Engineer

Activities Performed: 

- Liaise to Project Manager and Designer and/or Consultants regarding on site problems and discrepancies among drawings. Manage subcontractors, prepare, and review technical reports. Prepare works schedule and responsible for NOTAM (Notice to Airmen).
