Seeking employment within the field of psychology

About Rogini Moorthi:

I am a former journalist who is actively seeking job opportunities in the field of psychology. I chose to make a mid-career switch to psychology because I have always had a curious fascination with human behaviour and I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals in their journey. I strongly believe that this line of work would continue to challenge me and allow me to grow professionally. In addition to my theoretical and research skills in psychology, I also possess good communication skills (verbal and written skills) honed during my training as a journalist in Australia. Even while studying journalism, I have always demonstrated a keen interest in spreading awareness of mental health. I won the Hunter Institute Response Ability Prize for Mental Health Reporting for my piece ‘More than just the University Blues’ – an investigative article that probed deeper into the issue of depression among young university students.
