Shaleni Vijeyakkumar

As a Psychological Research Officer with a BSc in Psychology from SUSS, I'm eager to transition into a client-facing role. My experience as a research officer has equipped me with a solid foundation in psychological principles, research methodologies, and data analysis. I am adept at synthesizing complex information and communicating findings effectively. I also have had experience conducting interviews, focus-group discussions, and administering standardised tests to research participants, skills that I am eager to leverage in a role that involves direct interaction with clients. My academic background and experience have equipped me with a solid understanding of human behavior and research methodologies. I'm passionate about using my skills to directly support and empower individuals. With a commitment to continuous learning, I'm excited to embrace new challenges and opportunities in a client-facing position where I can make a positive impact.

As a Psychological Research Officer, I've been busy organizing and analyzing research data. I create eye-catching graphs and charts for presentations and help make important decisions by crunching numbers using specialized software. I'm always looking for ways to improve our team's work and often come up with helpful ideas. I have demonstrated proficiency in planning and implementing research study protocols,  keeping track of all the necessary paperwork, meticulously monitoring regulatory compliance and subject documentation, and establishing robust data collection and analysis systems.

Managing large databases is another part of my job, and I'm good at recruiting participants for our studies. I work with different professionals and sometimes even ex-offenders and inmates to find the right people for our research. I conduct interviews, lead focus groups, and administer tests to collect data, which I then organize and prepare for analysis. 

Once the data is ready, I help put together reports and presentations to share our findings. I take pride in my work and always make sure everything is done accurately and on time.

Graduated from Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science Psychology (BSc Psychology) with Honours.
