I am a senior economist and global policy advisor with over 20 years of experience in central banking, macroeconomic policy, and financial sector development. I have worked with the IMF, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and State Bank of Pakistan, leading technical assistance missions, economic surveillance, and policy reforms across Asia, the Middle East, and other regions. My expertise spans monetary policy design, FX operations, financial stability, macro-fiscal modeling, and climate finance. I have developed advanced econometric and forecasting models, introduced supervisory stress testing frameworks, and advised central banks and ministries on inflation targeting, fintech regulation, and fiscal sustainability. With a strong foundation in analytical rigor and strategic thinking, I bring a proven track record in stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and the implementation of sound economic policies.

I hold an MS (MPhil) in Economics from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, where my thesis focused on stress testing banks using a New Keynesian DSGE framework. I also completed executive training in DSGE modeling at the London School of Economics and earned the Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF) from Fitch Learning, UK. Additionally, I have received specialized training from the IMF, World Bank, and Bank of Korea in areas including model-based monetary policy analysis, macro-fiscal modeling, systemic risk assessment, and fintech regulation.
