I am a highly creative writer with a passion for marketing and Journalism. I am also a Murdoch University graduate with a degree in Journalism and Media and Communications Studies. I have written more than 100 articles to date. I have expertise in content writing, copywriting and marketing. I have worked for big players like Motherhood Magazine, Success Resources, Singtel, and ContentGrip and helped them gain successful social media traction. This means increasing viewership, engagement rates, shares and likes by 3%. I am pretty well-trained in coming up with clickbait headlines, to influence and engage readers. My unique selling proposition is my strength in B2B and B2C copywriting with a special focus on storytelling to incite emotions in the audience. Copywriters - we act as salespeople, the voice and face of a product. Furthermore, leveraging on copywriting can help build a loyal audience and improve customer relationships. So as a copywriter/content marketer, I ensure customers can relate, react, and feel towards a product - it's all about making them love your brand. 


In my last job as a Senior Content Writer, I was engaged in the UI/UX department, and I was doing technical writing for the Knowledge Base which was an entry of Frequently Asked Questions about the Payroll software. And then I moved on to content writing for the marketing department and got involved with SEO, blog, website and landing page writing. I was working closely with the SEO specialist who aided me in coming up with the most accurate strategy for meta tags, audience keyword research, audits. It was a real delight working with her as we were more like friends than colleagues. We always had thorough discussions before commencing on a project along with status meetings. And one thing I really appreciate her for is when she said I was the best content writer she ever worked with. I completely agree with her as I go right down to the basics and do thorough research and analysis on what I will be working on, say a blog post or a landing page. 

So right now, I am looking to spearhead into a more senior level role where I can strategise and curate content that is catered more to the audience. At UQPAY Technology, I did a lot of content creation and management on social media, Facebook and Linked In. UQPAY Technology was also an API payments gateway solution and I always researched on trending blog topics that would relate to both consumers and merchants. Some of the few topics I wrote about were cashless payments, QR codes and merchant studies. So, my job really focused on finding out the relationships between consumers and merchants, the psychology behind consumer’s behaviour towards cashless payments. 

At Success Resources, I have had the experience to work with a range of stakeholders, namely from my colleagues at the marketing department, the sales and events team - as well as the heads of the company. It was necessary to communicate with all of them in order to get the content out effectively. When I was doing EDMs, I had to always liaise with my content strategist and Customer Relations Executive in order to establish the right context and call to action for the sales EDM. Like, when there were discounts or price hikes, the Customer Relations executive had to ensure I tailor make the content to a specific set of audience (the ones which were derived from past ticket sales). Hence, it was vital to communicate with her on a daily basis. 

My time at Motherhood Magazine has moulded me to be a more detail-oriented and meticulous person when it comes to writing. I had to ensure deliverables were met within a stipulated deadline, and I had no issues adhering to that. The role required a good amount of independence and communication to interact with and interview doctors and top experts in the industry. Hence, when it comes to piecing the facts and scientific information, it was necessary to be very meticulous to ensure it is aligned with the brand voice, style and tone. This role also required handling many responsibilities all at one time - such as creating the outline of the article, liaising with experts, interviews and writing the final article itself. It has given me the multitasking aptitude to clearly distinguish my priorities in order to execute the task well. 


I have a Bachelor in Journalism and Media and Communications Studies. I have also completed a course in Search Engine Optimization by Laures Solutions and Social Media and Influencer Marketing by ClickAcademy Asia.
