With over 8 years of experience in both industry at Jaguar Land Rover and in transport consulting at PA Consulting, I have a developed a strong knowledge of the automotive & mobility segment. I have a proven track record of delivering exciting automated driving systems at Jaguar Land Rover and implementing important business transformations, resilience enhancements and efficiency improvements for a range of transport clients at PA Consulting. My background in systems engineering gives me a strong technical footing in the mobility space, enabling me to help clients deliver state of the art solutions effectively from the strategy phase to execution. Through my work in autonomy and electric vehicles and my keen interest in steam railways, I have always been passionate about transport and developing mobility solutions which are safe, green and user centric.

PA Consulting Group: Senior Management Consultant (Transport)                           12/2020 – Present

I have delivered impact for clients in many sectors, leading teams of consultants to develop new organisations and deliver business transformations to improve the efficiency and resilience of their organisations. I have:

• Played a leading role in the bid, sale and mobilisation of >£30m public sector work for PA Consulting;
• Led a team of 8 as part of a business transformation programme to identify a transport client’s most critical services and enhance their resilience successfully, reducing the impact of disruptions to their operations;
• Helped a transport client to develop a resilient vehicle fleet electrification strategy, minimising the risks introduced by electric vehicles to their operations;
• Built and led PA’s Connected & Automated Mobility proposition, successfully leveraging my experience to help existing and new clients prepare for the future of mobility;
• Helped 7 connected & automated mobility start-ups scale their businesses to gain investment;
• Developed the target operating model of the UK Health Security Agency’s customer function enabling a smooth merger of Test & Trace and Public Health England and saving the agency £36m per annum; and
• Improved the efficiency of the Test & Trace asymptomatic testing services through maturity assessment, digital requirement capture, process improvement and consolidation, enabling 34 million people to be tested weekly.

Jaguar Land Rover: Senior Systems Engineer                                                            09/2018 – 12/2020

I have successfully led the model-based design and delivery of driver assistance systems onto 600,000 vehicles per annum, ensuring the required user experience is met. In this role I;

• Led a team of 10 engineers to design the system user experience by writing customer requirements, setting key performance indicators, running user trials, analysing competitors and producing Simulink models;
• Collaborated with suppliers, clients and stakeholders for effective and timely system delivery;
• Managed system change, software defect resolution, integration and verification & validation, successfully resolving quality issues costing JLR over £500k per annum and unblocking production delays; and
• Drafted two technical codes of practice for the development of automated driving functions (published in 2020 and 2021) alongside other major OEMs in the L3 Pilot Project.

Jaguar Land Rover: Systems Engineer                                                                        09/2016 – 09/2018

• System and user experience design of JLR’s assisted parking systems using IBM’s MBSE toolset. I have now patented aspects of the design in GB and the US;
• Increased feature profitability by £40 million per annum by creating a new marketing strategy on the pricing, fitment and packaging of driver assistance features; and
• Developed a new Land Rover product concept which was approved and is now in production.
