Sujatha Krishnan

With 20+ years of experience, I am a passionate teacher skilled in creating comprehensive curricula that meet education standards and encourage curiosity. I excel in observational abilities, curriculum design, interdisciplinary thinking, pastoral care, and lesson presentations. 

I stay current by regular reading on educational philosophies, and my experience has helped me develop and adapt innovative approach to deliver lessons for diverse learners with updated teaching strategies.  This facilitated me to launch new Montessori/Kindergarten environments in Singapore's NPS International School. 

I have  had the opportunity to redesign Early Years curriculum which promote love for learning, independence, while meeting academic goals.

This program saw great success and surpassed learning objectives, with students accomplishing milestones four to six months ahead of their chronological age. I have been credentialed for maintaining professional Parent-Teacher relationship and strong public speaking skills. I have had the opportunity to successfully conduct Parent Orientations and foster a culture of confidence in every child under my guidance.

EY Directress + Level coordinator at NPS International - Singapore

My responsibilities as an EY Directress was to :-

• Engage in curriculum planning, delivery and evaluation  
• Develop a trust bond with every child, and forge positive relationships with child and family
• Establish short and long-term targets and milestones based on individual students’ unique abilities, ambitions, and strengths
• Observe - the child’s ability to choose work, challenge himself/herself and work with concentration/ take the chosen task to completion
• Planning individual proficiency-based curriculum and teach daily lessons with multiple modalities to target various learning styles, raising average grades
• Assess students’ progress throughout the term and work closely with other staff to efficiently plan and coordinate work 
• Provide opportunity for every child to translate their learning into the real world 
• Administrative and Pastoral care

My responsibilities as a Level coordinator

• Facilitate the Parent Teacher Consultation for Early Years
• Organise Mid-Stream Parent Orientation
• Conduct all events for Early Years and Parent meetings 
• In charge of Early Years Newsletter and Report remarks vetting 
• Regular discussions on extended activities with hands on materials and on the pedagogy with the team
• Train teachers, in integrating technology into daily lesson
• Supervise overall running of the environments
• Addressing parent concerns and resolving them
