Overview:

Passively working in Sales and engaging in Music and Modelling from age 14 onwards while studying, Tan Wei Yang started out with a strong foundation in Marketing at age 18 and found his calling to Film Directing shortly after learning the concept of commercials.

He believed that film directors can also adopt a business mindset to better cater ideas for corporate needs and thus started his own freelance journey in the realm of filmmaking.

He was later discovered by famous renowned TV personality and film director Jack Neo in 2019 after winning a "Best Picture" and "Best Cinematography" award in a 48 hours film competition and was trained under his close mentorship and supervision before later gaining recognition and co-working along the likes of notable celebrities such as Mark Lee, Henry Thia, Wang Lei and many more.

Wei Yang is a highly versatile and creative professional who can not only bring visible results with his work but always constantly on the drive towards “thinking out of the box” and setting creative achievement goals for his employers and for himself.
