• Under the Supervision of Prof. Yeo Min Hui, I conducted research on contemporary Singaporean Chineseness post-1990s, using narratives of Singaporean Chineseness to fill a gap in current research.
• Examined that official narratives of Singaporean Chineseness are not always state-constructed but it is an endorsement and extrapolation of the existing grassroots narratives.
• Conducted an in-depth study of the ideology behind the state endorsement of these grassroots narratives.
