Trina Tan

I'm a 3rd year student at Singapore Management University pursuing a degree in Information Systems, with a dual-track in Business Analytics and Digital Cloud Solutions.

I've always been interested in people – the society, social constructs, cultures and practices. And recently, I've been interested in how some of these more abstract concepts tie in with clearly defined problem-solving, or “hard” skills. More often than not, solutions aren't so straightforward. I feel that sometimes it's in the complexities of the human condition and societal dynamics that the versatility and limits of Information Technology can be thoroughly explored. Breaking down issues step-by-step, considering different factors and incorporating them into decision making when developing solutions is what gives me satisfaction.

Apart from this, I also enjoy expressing myself through music and dance, sharing my passion with others, and getting connected to those around me. Building up, shaping and growing alongside others regardless of the field has always been something that I look forward to :)
