Site Civil Engineer

• Project TMN6C20 Tampines Green Foliage (HDB Project – Main Contractor) 
• Accomplished several duties effectively and efficiently as an independent engineer alongside one other structural engineer on-site due to manpower shortage 
• Studied and understood structural drawings to perform inspection onsite before casting 
• Examined rebar details according to structural drawings and reported any variations before scheduling inspections
• Communicated and liaised with Resident Engineer (RE) and Resident Technical Officers (RTO) effectively to perform inspections 
• Independently represented Main-Contractor during inspections and obtained approval for casting (average 2-3 inspections daily - slabs, columns, beams, detention tank, roof garden, manhole, linkway etc)
• Scheduled and planned casting activities independently based on manpower, duration, and weather conditions

Architectural Works 

• Independently organized and assisted RTO with water ponding test for residential roof, roof garden, pump room and multi-story carparks
• Communicated rectification works effectively to sub-contractors and schedule follow-up inspection to obtain approval 
• Represented Main-Contractor for pull-out and welding test and report results to management
• Examined and organized post-con inspections for roof tops and obtain approval

BIM Software 

• Updated sub-contractors claim on a monthly basis on BIM360
• Uploaded RFA monitoring list and identify unregistered RFA 
• Updated architectural and structural progress on BIM to prepare for weekly meeting

Nanyang Technological University (Final Year Project)               August 2021 to Present                                                                                                                                                                                    Development of Flood Exposure and Loss Scenarios for Vietnam (Quang Nam Province)

• Analyze and model past events of flood and storm occurrences using QGIS Software
• Propose protection measures and perform a cost-benefit analysis 

QGIS Software 

• Study and analyze affected population and net asset value using satellite and aerial imagery 
• Implement data elevation model to analyze and filter floods by depths and impacts 
• Study the variations between pluvial and fluvial floods in terms of occurrences, depth and impacts
• Interpret correlations and deviations between 20-year and 50-year return period flood maps 
• Identify vulnerable regions to construct levees/river dikes as a protection measure 
• Propose the length and height of river dikes based on flood area and depth 

Excel Programming 

• Use of excel programming to correlate the datasets and identify vulnerable regions 
• Perform cost-benefit analysis of river dikes construction within these vulnerable regions
• List regions in order based on cost-benefit analysis and priority of well-being
