About Yiwei Lin:

I have 10 years of experience spanning across the Finance, E-commerce sales, Operations & Fintech space. 

I started my career with Charles and Keith as an Operations team lead tasked to lead and manage the e-commerce and operations team for Singapore. 

In Morgan Stanley, I was hired as an Equity Risk Analyst but was proactive to take on broader scopes within the company. I took the initiative to run an enhancement project which reduced the SLA turnaround time from 45mins to 10mins. My role was hence instrumental in the improvement of trade processes and productivity which benefitted Morgan Stanley’s beneficiaries, equity traders, settlements team. Aside, I was the core interface and liaison with key institutes for trade process, managing trades and operational risks daily. 

As the Supply Demand Specialist in APPLE, I was part of the core team with the Business Process design and re-engineering. In one of the key projects, I was tasked to oversee our iPad launches for Greater China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The complexity lies in comprehending the varying demand, tight timeline and new product challenges for the implementation into the different markets but I managed to launch the product on time, overcoming challenges and successfully proven myself to be able to manage stakeholders of diverse backgrounds and levels through these project experiences. 

After APPLE, I started my own Technology consulting business in 2014 where I originated deals with key accounts like UOBKH and led a team of programmers and project managers. My company was the key Business and Technology consultant for UOBKH for 3 years. Apart from bringing in the deals, my key role was to design and propose a scalable solution that delivers UOB Bank’s long-term goal. I studied and recommended improvements to their procedures, addressing cross departmental concerns to deliver solutions which will meet the bank’s operational and business targets. 

Being the key business manager of the startup MySavvyTutor, I manage the product and operations while supporting business development. In the 4 years we explored markets and collaborated on projects with counterparts from Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. My strength is establishing working relationships, creating projects, designing solutions and overseeing the execution has taken us through multiple phases of successful developments and project deployments.

My driven personality and analytical personality will always be an asset to the team and the organization.

  • Key Achievements: In the 4 years of leading various teams in the business, we have collectively explored markets, developed products to suit the markets, acquired key collaboration relationships both locally and from abroad. During the contract, my research and studies inspired me to initiate a process improvement project that resulted in a 75% improvement in our SLA to the institutional clients. The results won great service compliments from our external clients and internal traders.
