Reports to:
Head of Product Management

Liaises with:
Sales Team, Warehouse team, Marketing team, Suppliers, Product Developers


Duties and Responsibilities
Inventory management (40%)

• Reordering of finished products - Demand forecasting based on sell-through rate, stock-on-hand, promotion planning and planned budgets
• Place purchase orders with factories, coordinating across with packaging companies and arranging shipments arrival with freighforwarders
• Monitor inventory movement

- manage fast, slow moving and dead stocks to ensure healthy inventory count and stock turn

Sales / order management (20%)

• Coordinate and manage forecasting system from retailers/appointed distributors
• Set pricing grid and promotional plans that best optimise our business goals
• Coordinate with retailers/appointed distributors on their stock-on-hand, re-orders, returns and faulty claims

Suppliers / sourcing management (20%)

• Ensure supply continuity and follow up on supplier fulfilment performance
• Negotiation with suppliers on various commerical topics e.g. costs, MOQ etc
• Assist in identification of new suppliers / sourcing of new product categories

Data management (20%)

• Collaborate with business development / product development team on data analysis and reporting

Any adhoc duties that may be assigned

• Competency in MS Excel is a must; example using Pivot table, Vlookup, IF functions.
• Knowledge on key business drivers (e.g. pricing, promotion, assortment, margins)
• Knowledge on financial retail calculations— markdowns, margins
• Expertise knowledge in product category and industry we operate in
• Knowledge of SAGE / Netsuite system is a bonus

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in related field and one year of buying experience; OR, Diploma in any field AND three years of buying experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
