    Roles & Responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities

    • Create, organise, and maintain internal database for Legal department which includes docketing legal related deadlines, scanning and uploading legal related documents, recording Intellectual Property details, and tracking legal expenses.
    • Providing administrative support to the Legal department including scheduling meetings, preparing claims, and managing confidential documents such as photocopying, printing, filling, scanning, and uploading to the database.
    • Managing all stages of the Legal and Trademark, work schedules and deadlines. Handling daily correspondence, reviewing general correspondence, taking necessary actions on all legal matters such as responding to office action, preparing submissions, attending oppositions, recordables, renewals, and fee payments.
    • Conducting legal research, Trademark and Patent searches, preparing search results for review and approval. Handling ad hoc legal-related matters as necessary.
    • Organising and creating records of legal billings/ invoices for approval, including the preparation of the annual legal budget report.
    • Collating evidence, supporting document for submission in relation to opposition matters/ Legal matters.
    • Preparing documents for signatory and assist in formalisation of documents (i.e., notarisation/ legalisation), including liaising with law firms, notary public, commissioner of oaths and embassies).
    • Working closely with various Business Divisions within the company and able to liaise with external counsels.

    Requirements

    • Diploma or Degree holders in law or equivalent
    • Minimum 3 years of working experience in related field
    • Highly motivated self-starter and team player
    • Excellent at building rapport with various Business Divisions through effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
    • Fluency in both Chinese and English is required (Required to liaise with mandarin-speaking counterparts)
