DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review of all approved WPS.
Contacting material inspection as per the BS EN, ASME section II.
Visual Inspection of welds and accepting as per BS EN, AWS D1.1 & ASME B31.3 specifications and preparing reports.
Conducting welder Qualification Test as per client approved WPS
Familiar with welding process such as SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW, GMAW.
Monitoring and Inspection of fitup for pipe joints with dimensional and orientation, welding activities in all area of the project as per welding and fitup inspection request from construction foreman and supervisor.
Witnessing welding activities during welding like Inter Pass temperature and Inter Pass cleaning.
Monitoring welding consumable control, welder's qualification and welding activities at fabrication shop and field as per the (QCP).
Visual inspection of welds joints for different materials by different process
Preparation and review of test packages
Monitoring the status of Non Conformities of items and their disposition.
Preparing welding summary and documents for Hydro test.
Witness for Hydro test.
Interpretation of Radiographs UT result as per ASME section VIII.
Preparing the project close out documents.
Prepare and review of all approved WPS.
Conducting and Witness of Welder qualification test.
Interpretation of Radiographs as per API 1104 and Saudi Aram co Standards
Incoming Material Inspection / MTC review for pipes, pipe fittings, Beam
Plate coupler channel Bolt Nut Washer Valves and Welding consumables as per the relevant codes
Control of Welding consumables, baking record for low hydrogen electrodes.
Coordinating NDT.
Updating welding history sheet and clearing for coating/ painting.
Preparation of Hydro test pack.
Prepare and review of PQR and WQT records.
Control of QC documentation
Monitoring, Surveillance and witness of pipeline field activities such as pipe stringing, fitup, weld visual, NDT, and review of relevant records
Monitoring positive material identification (PMI) for stainless steels, alloy steels.
Review of radiographic films and reports
Witnessing nondestructive testing for welds which involves R.T, M.T, P.T, and U.T. & PWHT.
Witnessing the hardness testing for parent material heat affected zone and weld.
Review of Hydro test Packages, line checking and Punch listing.
Witnessing Hydrostatic Test and Pneumatic Tests as per approved procedures.
Preparation and submission of linewise records, NDT records, for the Hydro Test Packages.
