Process Engineer I located in

What You Will Do:


  • To uphold high standards of site process safety performance.
  • To harness, optimize and continuously improve the BluOps digitalization tools and platform as part of process and production analytics that will enhance/ elevate production volume, productivity, efficiency, safety and etc. Performs weekly BluOps adoption review on Parsable reports. Point of contact for all BluOps related issues and coordinates the resolution of such issues.
  • Monitor production processes and develop/revise manufacturing procedures to ensure safe, timely, quality and efficient manufacture of products that meets required yield and cycle time standards.
  • Create, review and update standard operating procedures, manufacturing procedures and Parsable manufacturing procedures to reflect actual operation.
  • Oversee the process of new product review and introduction.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues which arises during production operation. Performs investigation studies, trial production runs and provide recommendations.
  • Conduct continuous process improvement study and projects via TPM, Loss Prevention, VSM and lean manufacturing methodologies. This includes product batch cycle time improvement via digitalization tools and platforms.
  • Creates and maintains SAP, FST, Parsable and P4 product manufacturing master data information for the site.
  • Tracks and record production operating performance via OPE, time block and loss analysis. In addition, track the consumption of plant utilities.
  • Gathers and reports various plant key performance information/ data to site, regional and corporate.
  • Develop feasibility studies, design details and project scope for new processes. Estimates profitability, cost benefits and provides written justification for the project.
  • Conduct process safety incident investigations via root cause analysis, FMEA, management of change, process safety training and audit.
  • Conduct technical training, SOP and any other operating techniques.
  • Stays abreast of current technology for specialty batch and semi batch processes.
  • Supports the development, maintenance, review and update of the site's Safety Case documentation. Support on the deliverables for annual safety case regime audits by MHD.
  • Supports the activities required by ISO 50001 on Energy Management System including but not limited to tracking energy use, energy performance indicators and development of solutions towards energy performance improvement.

Position Details:


  • The Process Engineer provides technical support for product manufacture, analyzes equipment performance, optimizes product manufacturing processes and equipment processes, conduct continuous improvement, develops manufacturing procedures, execute process safety and safety case elements, administer SAP setup and revision, generate project scope/ charter, generate and manage cost savings projects, oversees new product introduction and estimates cost for production. In addition, to incorporate and optimize the Blu OPS digitalization processes into daily plant operation.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • A BEng degree is required in chemical engineering and a minimum of 4 years related experience is preferred.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • The Process Engineer must be capable to multitask with daytoday batch reaction operation and support plant with assigned projects/tasking.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in Batch Reaction Processes is preferred
  • Experience in Data Analysis and visualization of data via PowerBI is preferred
