Description

The primary mission of the Business Development Representative is to drive revenue growth and foster lasting client relationships through strategic initiatives.

This multifaceted role encompasses attaining revenue targets, acquiring new accounts, and ensuring the continuous satisfaction of existing clientele.

This regional role is pivotal in maintaining a consistent and reliable presence with clients to secure their ongoing participation and loyalty.


He/She needs to have proven experience in freight operations and business development, strong understanding of the logistics industry and market dynamics, and exceptional communication and presentation skills.

He/She is results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets, and demonstrated proficiency in strategic account management and customer relationship building.

Work Schedule: 5.5-days week, Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.45pm, Sat 8.30am to 1.30pm

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Revenue Attainment and Account Acquisition:Execute strategies to achieve revenue targets through effective business development and sales techniques. Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, expanding the client base and market share.

Client Relationship Management:Establish and maintain regular, predictable interactions with clients to fortify relationships and understand their evolving needs. Actively engage in the retention and growth of existing clientele while consistently seeking avenues for client satisfaction improvement.

Presentation and Proposal Leadership:Lead and manage customer presentations, ensuring a compelling representation of our services and value proposition. Develop and present comprehensive proposals that align with client requirements and contribute to successful contract negotiations.

Market Intelligence Dissemination:Gather and disseminate market intelligence related to customer requirements and potential competitor product enhancements. Collaborate with product leaders and internal stakeholders to provide timely insights that contribute to informed decision-making.

Continuous Improvement and Best Practices:Contribute to the enhancement of sales best practices by providing valuable insights and innovative approaches. Work collaboratively with the sales team to develop and implement strategic approaches to key accounts.

Shipment Coordination and Follow-up:Arrange, coordinate, and diligently follow up on shipments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction. Proactively address any operational challenges, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional service delivery.


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 23 years sales experience in Freight Forwarding
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in B2B sales or business development.
  • High level of hunter acumen.
  • Sound knowledge of freight operations and ability to orchestrate sales through key business offerings.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
