What the role is
Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting and Payment


What you will be working on


You will be part of the Strategic Financial Management Sub-Group responsible for developing strategic financial policies and procedures to safeguard and allocate financial resources prudently and achieving optimal returns within prescribed risk limits.

You will be an integral member of the Financial Reporting and Payment Division responsible in the overseeing of the Authority's payment operations, statutory accounts, cost review and allocation, and analysis.


The main deliverables include the following:
a) Contribute to the daily payment operations as well as payment related data analytics for reporting to Senior Management to support business needs and decisions.
b) Partner with internal divisions to provide advisory on payment matters and ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, accounting standards and all other relevant statutory & Government Instruction Manuals requirements.

c) Provide operational support for system enhancements, process improvements and/or development of new systems such as streamlining/automation of work processes (through the use of automation software such as Python/UiPath) for business transformations, involve in carrying out User Acceptance Testing, change management briefings and users training and propose innovative business solutions to achieve service excellence.

d) Participate in corporate-wide and whole of government initiatives arising from new functions, regulations and business areas through defining and reviewing of processes, accounting treatments and finance governance framework.
e) Liaise with various external stakeholders such as Auditors, Government Agencies and Ministries.
f) Handle ad hoc projects/responsibilities as and when required.


What we are looking for

  • Tertiary Qualification in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Preferably 4 7 years of relevant working experience in Accounting/Audit.
  • Meticulous and proficient in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Words and PowerPoint.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, resourceful, selfdriven and a good team player.
  • Ability to interact with officers of different backgrounds and management at all levels.
