Roles & Responsibilities

We are expanding Chiltern House is looking for cheerful, positive and patient Student Care Teachers to join its big family. Why join us? Chiltern House provides a positive, warm, friendly, work-life balanced environment. We work with our Student Care Teachers in developing the knowledge and skills to bring out their best talents.

We are looking for student care teachers who can join us from June 2024 onwards

Days: 5 days' work week (Monday - Friday)

Working hours during school terms:

10:30 pm to 7:30 p.m. (8 hrs excluding 1hr lunch)

School holidays and adhoc school closure days:

Shift 1: 7.30 am to 4.30 pm

Shift 2: 10.30 am to 7.30 pm

Job Roles & Responsibilities.

Supervises and guides primary school students in their school homework, spelling and revision in at least three subjects (English/ Maths/ Science)
Provides a positive, nurturing, safe & secure learning environment for students
Maintains order in the classroom and ensure students' safety, welfare and security protocols are met at all times
Conducts in-house enrichment classes and ensure lesson plans are delivered
Marking of written work from enrichment programmes
Maintains regular communication with parents on their children's development
Provides support in dismissal and any centre duties

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Possess at least a good GCE 'O' Levels, 'A' Levels or Diploma
Candidates with a WSQ Student Care certification will have an advantage
Cheerful, patient and passionate when dealing with children
Some relevant experience such as student care/ tutoring, and certification in student care would be advantageous
Keen to teach young children between the ages of 7-12
Possess genuine care for children and desire to nurture them holistically
Good communication skills in order to liaise with the parents and students
