- Supervising a group of junior purchasers, plan and execute direct material purchase timely to ensure materials availability to meet supply and inventory targets, hence achieving the highest levels of reliability in terms of product quality, delivery punctuality, economical sustainability for both short & long term
- Manage suppliers that are not performing to the quoted quantity, quality, availability, and delivery dates
- Facilitate calls with troubled suppliers to ensure no interruption to internal production
- Participate with various cross functional teams to drive improvement projects, performing data analytics, dashboard development, define and provide business improvement recommendations Job Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- Min 5 years relevant working experience in similar capacity, preferably in Manufacturing industry
- Excellent communications and negotiation skills with suppliers and internal customers
- Resourceful, self-driven, proactive and independent
- Knowledge in procurement system
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP/MRP
