What the role is

  • As a Deputy Director (Programme Planning Office) in HTX, you will lead in developing and driving the enterprise masterplans, aligning the enterprisewide initiatives across the various Functions in Enterprise Group, i.e. xComms & Digital Infra, xCloud and xData.

What you will be working on

  • The jobholder will be responsible for the following:
  • Plan, conceptualise, lead and drive the development of the Enterprise Masterplans, incorporating the masterplans and roadmaps of the various EG Functions into a coherent integrated masterplan/roadmap that encompasses the enterprise wide initiatives led by EG.
  • Lead the discussions with the SMEs in the respective Functions to ensure alignment of solution architecture, timeline, and scope of the various enterprise initiatives.
  • Plan and lead the engagement with PMCs/HTDs to ensure ops requirements are incorporated into the enterprise initiatives.
  • Lead the team in ensuring the robustness of the Enterprise Masterplans, including identifying dependencies between the enterprise initiatives, addressing any potential gaps and ensuring clear ownership in design, delivery, fund source, contracting and maintenance of the enterprise initiatives.
  • Lead the team in managing other crosscutting functions across EG.
  • Manage and coach the team towards a high performing team.
  • Assist GD/EG in reporting to MHA/HTX management.

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Information Technology or relevant disciplines.
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong planning and project management skills. Able to reconcile immediate operational needs with longterm strategic goals, taking into account differing views of various stakeholders, and get buyin for the adopted approaches.
  • Good communication and people skills in dealing with both internal customers, as well as external parties.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Facilitation skills, planning skills, problemsolving skills, organising capabilities and foresight to drive projects.
  • Strong interest in technologies and innovation


All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
