The student, as part of the Industrial Engineering team and under the guidance of an assigned supervisor, will conduct time study for direct HC in the production floor, support automation project time study and data collection, and identify the NVAs and OVAs in the line.In your new role you will:

Perform time study in the production floor

Extract data from the system and upload data to the system

Perform data validation and control checks

Analyze data collected from actual study and through the system using MS office, statistical and simulation tools

Have understanding & application of Lean manufacturing such as process mapping, VA-NVA analysis, wastes, etc.

Internship learning outcomes:

Be able to do/perform time study and identify room for improvement

Identify NVA, VA and OVA

Understand different process flows and analyze the work method impact when going for automation

You are best equipped for this task if you are/have:

On track to attain Degree in Industrial Engineering / Electrical & Electronic / Manufacturing / Mechanical / Computer Engineering

Pro active in coming out with improvement ideas

A good team player with passion for results

Basic knowledge of excel & JMP

Ability to communicate effectively in English
