    PROCUREMENT & PLANNING ASSISTANT MANAGER / MANAGER
    An exciting Procurement & Planning Assistant Manager/ Manager role has been made available with an established food trading company in Singapore. This is a newly created role as part of business expansion here in Singapore.

    About the Procurement & Planning Assistant Manager / Manager Role:
    Reporting to the Purchasing Director, you will be responsible for all procurement activities while working alongside internal and external parties to meet the needs of the business and help drive profitability.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Regularly review cost out opportunities and ensure process for goods are in line with relevant market rates, efficiently sourced, and procured in a way that creates the best value for the business.
    • Work closely with sales and marketing team to develop and implement short and long-term strategic initiatives that enable the business to meet its growth and profitability objectives.
    • Act as the main subject matter expert, develop policies and procedures related to procurement and planning.
    • Coach the team to master the competencies required to ensure long-term business success and long-term members' success.
    • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.

    To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong working knowledge on implementing policies, SOPs, operating business systems and ensuring compliance.

    Key requirements:

    • Degree in in Purchasing, Supply Chains, Business Management or equivalent
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, ideally in FMCG, preference for food sourcing and purchasing.
    • Proven track record of managing a significant cost of goods with strong motivation to deliver cost savings.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, customer service and communication skills.
    • Speaks and presents well.
