    Mechanical Quality Control Assistant Engineer

    In this role, you will:

    •Handle incoming inspection of mechanical precision machined parts using various types of high-tech measuring instruments e.g. Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Faro scanning/profiling instrument and other standard quality control tools like verniers, micrometres, etc.

    •Handle in-process Inspection of mechanical assemblies, subsystems and final inspections of systems

    •Assist QA engineers in performing external on-site vendor/contractor quality control surveillance checks and audits

    •Assist QA engineer to conduct quality audits when required

    •Report and resolve non-conformances and quality issues found during inspections and manage corrective and preventive action reports with vendors and engineering staff to close the issues

    •Manage calibration of measuring and inspection test equipment

    Requirements


    •Diploma / Higher NITEC in Quality Assurance Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineer

    •Relevant experience in quality control of mechanical parts inspection using QC measuring tools and familiar with mechanical workmanship standards for inspection of mechanical assembly

    •Ability to read GD&T mechanical drawings for QC measurements

    •Ability to communicate and deal tactfully with both internal designers and external vendors and customers

    •Possess good teamwork with project members

    •Possess good analytical skills and able to conduct root cause analysis of defects / non-conformances
