Site Reliability Engineer - Singapore - TREEBOX SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD.

Description

As a Site Reliability Engineer at TreeBox Solutions, you will be working alongside with our software engineers and product managers to build a reliable and highly scalable infrastructure for our internal teams and our customers.

In this role, you will work also with customers to resolve their technical issues and work with internal engineering team to resolve customer's technical issues.

You must be a self-starter, a forward-thinker, have passion for fixing problems when you meet them, and possess an ability to work in an agile environment with minimum guidance.

• Work alongside product managers and dedicated software engineers to build a robust infrastructure.
• Streamline development and deployment processes via automation
• Implement systems for highavailability
• Provide fault isolation and root cause analysis for technical issues.
• Perform monthly or scheduled preventive maintenance on servers
• Update technical documentation for training materials, manuals, troubleshooting guides
• Communicate effectively by providing technical support services for customers and partners
• Manage support cases from customers and partners to ensure issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow ups are done in a timely manner.
• Travel may be required to customer site in an event of a critical situation to expedite resolution (Local and Overseas Travelling)
• Weekend standby on call may be required

• Polytechnic diploma or degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• 3+ years in a development, DevOps, or site reliability engineer role
• Fresh Graduate, with strong technical skills and interest may also apply
• Singaporeans/PRs Preferred
• Working knowledge of both scripting languages (Bash, Python) and high level programming languages (such as Java, C, SQL), and proficient in automation and virtualization tools technologies (such as Podman, Docker).
• Experience working with Unix/Linux.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkin, Maven and Vault
• Knowledge and understanding of micro services, web services (REST API, gRPC)
• Knowledge and understanding of network theory and concepts such as TCP/IP, UDP, OSI Model, VPN, Firewall, Switches and load balancers.
• Knowledge and understanding security concepts, such as PKI Infrastructure, TLS, symmetric and asymmetric encryption
• Knowledge of web stack, understand how all the pieces fit together (frontend, web server, load balancer, database, network layer, etc.).
• Experience conducting systematic troubleshooting of issues.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proactive attitude and do not afraid to tackle the problem you have not encountered before
• Ability to adapt and quickly respond to changing needs / priorities
• Good performers will be considered for full time permanent position after 1 year.
