    Scope and Purpose


    Purpose and activities:

    • Assisting the RM in the business development and managing all aspects of the relationship with Branch's Corporate Clients in the International Corporate Desk, which include MNCs and top tier corporates in the South Asian region.

    • Assisting the RM in obtaining up-to-date information about current and prospective clients' financial performance, market conditions and outlook, to the negotiation and structuring of facilities.

    • Preparation of credit proposals and reviews, including spreads, assessment and analysis of new and existing account relationships.

    • On-going monitoring and review of customer credit profile, and the conduct of the client account, including monitoring utilizations/exposures, ratings, security and convenants compliance.

    • Monthly monitoring of excesses and irregular positions of clients via SIRE report HR827R.

    • Assisting the negotiation of legal documentation (both syndication and bilateral) with or without assistance of internal/external legal counsel, to ensure the Bank's interest are safeguarded, and ensuring compliance of all conditions precedents.

    • Performing and ensuring the Branch KYC (Know Your Customers) and CDD (Customer Due Diligence) procedures and MAS directives are strictly adhered to.

    • Performing any other management reporting and marketing research responsibilities as requested/directed by HO &/or management from time to time.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Develop trade finance business with the corporate customers at local level and originate new flow at international level in coordination with GTB Head Office

    • Promote business development from new and existing clients and develop new revenue streams by identifying and selling also innovative solutions to its portfolio of clients thus maximizing commercial profitability

    • Work in coordination with the reference structures of the Global Transaction Banking Department and ensuring the necessary support and effective sharing of knowledge of Transaction Banking products and services to relationship managers (RM and GRM)

    • Prepare meeting reports to be circulated within the Bank to the appropriate subject (e.g. Branches and Head Office)

    • Support the different structure of the Branch in order to ensure a smooth handling of the transactions (i.e.: actively participating text/contracts elaboration and negotiation of SBLCs, LCs, guarantees and other Trade Finance products);

    • Ensure the necessary technical/specialist support during the origination, sales, onboarding phases as well as managing post-sale requests for Transaction Banking products;

    • Participate in internal and external business events, road shows and seminars as required by the business

    • Customer origination and on-boarding, in particular on complex deals and international RFPs

    • Inform Head Office on any substantial mandatory changes in local regulation and/or local market developments

    Required Experience


     Preferably, +2 years of experience in banking with good knowledge of commercial / corporate banking products
     Preferably, Good hands-on experience related to KYC, Anti Money Laundering fand Counter Financing of Terrorism for Corporate Clients

    Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge


     University degree and/or post-graduate degree in economics/ finance
     Good communication skills with customers and colleagues at different level with respect to Trade strategy, policy, business opportunities
     Team oriented personality
     Local language and strong English knowledge
