Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership: Providing technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers.

Technical Expertise: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and relevant regulations to ensure that the department remains technically competitive and compliant.
Team Development: Mentoring and developing technical staff members, providing training opportunities, performance feedback, and career guidance to help them grow and excel in their roles.
Problem-solving and Troubleshooting: Leading efforts to identify and resolve technical issues, troubleshooting problems, and implementing effective solutions to ensure the smooth operation of technical systems and processes.
Continuous Improvement: Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance technical capabilities and streamline processes within the organization.

Job Requirements

Knowledge in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced certifications (e.g., MCSE, RHCE) preferred.
Experience in managing enterprise Linux (SUSE Linux) and Windows server environments in a complex IT infrastructure.
Strong understanding of high availability and fault-tolerant system architectures, with experience in clustering, load balancing, and failover mechanisms.
Hands-on experience with SQL database maintenance.
Familiarity with network protocols, monitoring, remote administration, routing, switching, and firewall configuration, particularly with Palo Alto, McAfee, and Checkpoint appliances.
Experience with SAN storage solutions and storage area networks (SAN).
Knowledge of Microsemi NTP (Network Time Protocol) for time synchronization across network devices.
Manage a diverse range of hardware equipment, including Cisco switches, Sun Microsystems servers (X4170, X4170 M2), HPE ProLiant DL360 series servers (G7, G9, G10), and SAN storage solutions.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse technical team.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
