We are looking for a creative, motivated and ambitious person to join our growing team at CNA-TV, home to the flagship news programmes _Asia First, Asia Tonight, Singapore Tonight_ and _World Tonight_, along with our morning-to-evening hourly newscast, _Asia Now_.

The Senior/Editor will report to our cohort of Supervising Editors, working to help design and set the agenda for bulletins that are fast-paced and focused on breaking down the biggest news and business stories making waves in the Asia-Pacific region.

Responsibilities:

Assign and edit stories, with a sharp focus on maintaining accuracy, quality and zero errors
Conceptualise graphics, including augmented reality graphics, to tell stories in a more dynamic and interactive manner
Subedit scripts and graphics
Help lead the production of news programmes by assigning stories to writers, coordinating graphics requests, planning sequences with studio crews and executing live television
Work with various teams to plan for future shows and live events, using graphics and video to turn ideas into captivating and thoughtprovoking visual programming
Pitch ideas that focus on the reporting of global developments with Asian perspectives, in line with our goal to help our audience 'Understand Asia'
Train and mentor junior staff members

Qualifications:

Requirements:

At least fivetoseven years of experience working in a fastpaced newsroom
Be creative, be bold and be a visual storyteller, while encouraging and cultivating those qualities in others around you
Possess a strong understanding of the big stories in APAC and elsewhere in the world, with an ability to explain and contextualise information for an Asian audience
Ability to handle the pressures that go along with a 24hour news channel
Be an organised person and a highlevel multitasker
Work well in a team environment
Be prepared to work irregular hours
