- Develop strategy and operationalize plans to market the service and volunteering opportunities of the volunteer centre to the community, services, individuals and corporate partners.
- Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders such as schools, corporate, grassroots, public organizations for outreach and volunteering opportunities.
- Follow-up on volunteer enquires, screen, match volunteers to the services.
- Work on the implementation of an effective volunteer management system including recruitment, training, deployment, reward, retention and recognition.
- Evaluate all aspects of volunteer programmes to ensure effectiveness and implement changes as appropriate.
- Manage and maintain the volunteer database system as well as other administration documentations.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/s
- Diploma or higher in any discipline
- At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in volunteer management and community partnerships in a non-profit organisation.
- Proficient in oral and written communication, especially English
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Committed and responsible
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Take initiative and appropriately contribute to the department, division and organisation
- Demonstrate professional conduct in terms of displaying integrity, composure, timeliness, and respect
- Resourceful in getting and optimally using relevant resources to accomplish work targets cost-effectively and efficiently
- IT-savvy and proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint and Excel)
- Able to work well with a diverse group of professionals from the public and private sectors, volunteers, service users and residents
- Keen on contributing to the social services sector
