Job Summary:
The Finance and Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing financial activities and operational processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Monitor financial performance and analyze variances to ensure alignment with targets.
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for management review.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decisionmaking and identify areas for improvement.
Operations Management:
- Streamline operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee procurement activities, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
- Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize resource allocation and workflow.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor finance and operations team members, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Strategic Planning and Decision-Making:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans and objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisionmaking.
- Participate in strategic initiatives and projects, contributing financial expertise and analysis.
- Evaluate business opportunities and risks, providing financial due diligence and recommendations.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
- Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes affecting finance and operations, and adjust policies accordingly.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, ACCA, or related field;
- Proven experience in finance and operations management, preferably in a similar industry or organization.
- Strong financial analysis skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is preferred.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements pertaining to finance and operations.
Working Conditions:
- This role typically operates in a professional office environment.
- 5 days work week, rest on weekend and public holiday
