Description

The Shipping Trade Settlements Analyst will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely settlements for all shipping transactions. This role involves reviewing trade documentation, reconciling accounts, and resolving any discrepancies to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Duration: 9 months contract

Location: Centennial Tower, Nice Working Enviroment

Salary up to $4,500

Key Responsibilities:

• Trade validation in CTRM
• Reconciling of trades across systems
• Tracking of invoices, settlements, AP/AR reporting and be involved in systems testing.
• Handling physical Oil/LNG/Shipping trade settlements in a timely and accurate manner, including contract terms review, due date control and raising payment and invoices in both CTRM system and SAP
• Reviewing the trade contracts and service agreements for settlement purposes
• Price confirmation with counterparties and billing/invoicing of sales both provisional and final invoices
• Ensuring incoming & outgoing funds receipt or payment are valued on time, calculating interest for delayed receipts as per contractual terms and AR ageing follow-up
• Process secondary costs which includes additional cost such as freight, insurance, inspections, demurrage's
• Liaise with traders and operators to resolve disputes and ensure accurate and timely payments
• Carrying out with the procedure/process implemented in CTRM, SAP and other network system and assist in month-end reconciliation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in energy risk assessment & analysis
• Previous use of CTRM
• Understanding of various commodity types and their settlement procedures
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
