    Description

    Getting access to top-tier private equity funds and private market opportunities is still relatively new to many investors. Having the best available information to make an informed decision and maximize the growth of their investment base falls to our Sales Team. As a Sales Director and Head of APAC, you will lead the regional marketing and sales efforts to connect with many new investors, understanding local investors requirements and how our funds can fit within their investment objectives.

    We are looking for a subject-matter expert on a range of private market strategies and lead their own geographical territories. As we continue to deepen our global coverage we are looking for a new Director and Head of Investor Relations to cover the Asian market.

    As a Director, responsible for our licensed company in Singapore, you'll be managing our local go-to-market plan, executing on your proposed strategy and leading a small team of sales associates to increase our audience of sophisticated investors; contributing to business expansion first and primarily in Singapore and over time in the rest of Asia.

    You will:

  • Develop and execute on a local go-to-market plan in APAC.
  • Hire, retain and develop the required sales talents in the team.
  • Support investors across the entirety of the investment lifecycle and make suggestions on how to improve & optimise sales processes at Moonfare.
  • Engage with a diverse range of clients within both our B2C and B2B sectors, including UHNW/HNW investors, Family Office Professionals, Investment Professionals and C-Suites throughout the Asia Pacific region.
  • Engage in public speaking events, which will involve interacting with PR professionals, media platforms and actively participating in various events.
  • Showcase an entrepreneurial mindset consistently uncovering new opportunities.
  • Participate in ad hoc initiatives aimed at enhancing client comprehension within private equity and identify sales possibilities.
  • Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer; as well as other sales members, assist in market expansion plans in the region.
  • Be registered as the CEO of our regulated and licensed Singapore entity, assisted by our local compliance team, our external counsel and our own internal general counsel.
  • The next Moonfarian:

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within a placement agency, private equity division within a private bank, or asset management firm.
  • Proficient in establishing and nurturing relationships with (Ultra) High Net Worth Individuals and/or Institutional clients.
  • Deep knowledge of all private assets and investing.
  • Clear & concise sales communication skills and has the ability to convey complex topics in a precise and understandable manner.
  • Adept at managing objections and is skillful in client negotiations.
  • Resilient and positive minded and will bring additional drive and ambition to an already high performing team.
  • Preferably experience in guiding and mentoring sales staff, with a focus on fostering their professional growth.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Mandarin & Cantonese preferred but not mandatory.
