ABOUT THE ROLE


To be successful in this role, you should possess the quality of an Analyst who is savvy in providing technical solutions to our clients.

You would also work closely with the client's project development team and internal/external stakeholders to track and implement solutions that relates to quality or process improvements.


Job Descriptions

  • Work as a Business Analyst (BA) that supports the Expense Management team at a Japanese bank in leveraging on technology to bring about greater efficiency and organisational growth.
  • To serve a liaison between the Business and IT to provide solutions to their business system needs.
  • Understand customers' objectives, processes, and products as well as the business systems capabilities to formulate, define, document solutions that are aligned with business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
Process Design

  • Perform AsIs business analysis on expense processing operation.
  • Identify issues and areas for possible improvements.
  • Propose the ToBe operation.
  • Engage with operation users, capture operation requirements accurately, comprehensively and without ambiguity, facilitate traceability and in harmony with existing system functionality.
  • Propose alternate solutions to meet or improve the desired objectives based on best practices and industry solutions.
  • Undertake a consultant role to operations, and to think out of the box to find new solutions to existing problems.
  • Support operations in providing cost effective/practical solutions that meet client's digital strategies.
Requirement Refinement / Elaboration

  • Lead the requirements gathering with business users.


  • Drive Requirements Lifecycle

  • From abstract product vision all the way to detailed functional requirements.
  • Refine/elaborate user stories (ensure consistent and highquality) based on business requirements and process design, ensuring that they follow the prescribed format. Ensure that user stories have sufficient details so that developers are able to estimate and work with them.
  • Liaise with business and IT stakeholders and end users to clarify requirements, and to prepare detailed user stories/functional specification document for software product development.
  • Construct business requirement document from business stakeholders that will be understood by business and technology teams.
  • Support UAT preparation by defining test scope, drafting test cases in JIRA and Zephyr and ensuring traceability to original requirements.
  • Track all project deliverables, identify dependencies, risks and issues and escalate to the project manager.
  • Provide regular updates to the project manager and managements.

Basic Requirements
-
Proven record of business analysis experience in expense system implementation projects (e.g. SAP Concur, Oracle ERP).

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within a related expense processing operation support/business analyst function.

Strong knowledge of expense management operation.

  • Experience with systems implementation and improvement.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent clientfacing with good interpersonal skills.

Good command of English Language - listening, writing and speaking.

  • Degree IT or Computer Science (advantage).
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge to grasp client's business needs during appointment.
  • Ability to collaborate with multinational internal/external stakeholders.
  • Strong communications skills to handle impromptu requests.
