Description

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) is a newly established interdisciplinary school, resulting from the merger of the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering and the Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry. Faculty members within CCEB engage in pioneering research across a wide spectrum of fields such as chemistry, chemical engineering, food science, bioengineering, and biotechnology.
We are currently seeking exceptional candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, focusing on research in Biocatalysis. Ideal applicants will possess a clear research vision and a distinguished publication record in leading academic journals. Successful candidates are expected to establish innovative, globally recognized, and externally funded research initiatives. Additionally, we are looking for individuals with a strong aptitude for teaching relevant subjects at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including the mentorship and supervision of students.

Qualifications
We are interested in candidates with expertise and a proven record in areas pertinent to biocatalysis, including but not limited to bio-organic synthesis, natural products biosynthetic enzymes, artificial enzymes, mechanism-based or nature-inspired enzyme engineering, genetic code expansion and unnatural amino acids, directed or continuous evolution, computational design and deep learning, genetic or biochemical screens, genome mining, and synthetic biology.
Compensation
The starting salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and the level of appointment.
