11-year old Singapore-based boutique asset management firm set up by fund managers with over twenty five years each of investment management experience at some of the world's top global asset management firms.
Founder Homiyar Vasania was a key part of Morgan Stanley's Emerging Markets team in Singapore and partner Jamshed Desai was a fund manager with Rexiter Asset Management, majority owned by State Street Global Advisors, Boston.
RVAM is a Capital Markets Services (CMS) licence-holder regulated by MAS and manages money on a discretionary basis for large family offices, institutional investors and UHNW individuals.
The role offers an opportunity to work closely with highly experienced fund managers who have worked across market cycles.
The role would enable valuable investment research learning on globally based businesses and industries in a small and dynamic investment team in a firm with great pedigree and growth potential.
The chosen analyst would be a key member in the team and work with autonomy, while also having the chance to gain a holistic view and unique hands on experience of fund management.
Roles and responsibilities:
In this role you would have hands on involvement in:
- Analysis of corporate financial statements
- Creation of financial models incorporating the impact of companyspecific, sectorrelated as well as macroeconomic factors
- Conducting of research on companies and industries using primary and secondary data sources
- Assisting the fund managers in writing internal stock reports and creation of documentation on securities
- Joining fund managers in attending company meetings and research conferences and calls when required
- Portfolio analytics and attribution analysis using Bloomberg
- Will work directly with fund managers
Job Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you would need some of the following:
- Strong demonstrated financial analytical skills
- Prior internship experience in financial analysis/ securities research would be valued
- A learning mindset and deep interest in investment analysis
- Strong ability to work in and contribute to small teams
- It would be an advantage if the applicant is a speaker of any Asian language
