    Senior Director, Membership and Portfolio

    Development

    position is a leadership position that reports directly to the

    Vice President Corporate Strategy . In this role you will collaborate extensively with all others Star Alliance team leaders and key Member Airlines stakeholders. This position requires a professional with a strong background in commercial, operational, and technical functions within the airline industry. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire Star Alliance Membership Standards & Core Values and Products Portfolio lifecycle.

    This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and a strong focus on the value that the Star Alliance Products Portfolio create for our member airlines.

    Job SummarySupport the Alliance Stakeholders on setting the framework of the Standards, Core Values and Products Portfolio and its overall delivery aligned with the Corporate Strategy.

    Lead, Manage and Audit the Star Alliance Full Members, Connecting and Intermodal PartnersLead the New Members Integration or DisintegrationIdentify and the implementation of business objectives and governance guidelines into day-to-day processes with the members.

    Prepare and conduct the Membership Liaison and Quality Committee, a key governance forumDevelop and execute a comprehensive product portfolio strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals.

    Oversee the entire product portfolio, emphasizing the financial impact of each product initiative.

    Make data-driven decisions to prioritize and allocate resources effectively across different product initiatives, with a keen eye on maximizing ROI.Conduct regular portfolio reviews to assess the financial performance of each product and adjust the portfolio as needed.

    Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the product organization, emphasizing the financial goals of the company.

    Work closely with Customer Experience, Member Services Enablement and Marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies for new products, emphasizing member carrier's adoption.

    Communicate Portfolio strategies, roadmaps, and updates to executive leadership, stakeholders, and other relevant member carriers' teams, highlighting the expected ROI.Build in partnership with Corporate Planning & BI Director dashboards to support continuous Product Management and monitoringYour ProfileA minimum of 10 years work experience in a Products Portfolio Management in a leadership roleBachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

    MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.

    Proven experience in product management, with a track record of successful product launches and a demonstrated ability to deliver positive ROI.Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on driving financial results.

    Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

    Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, including a deep understanding of how product strategies impact ROI.Ability to monitor market trends and identify opportunities for product innovation with a clear financial impact.

    Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate product strategies and decisions.
    Proficiency in financial analysis to evaluate the cost-effectiveness and revenue potential of product initiatives.
    Experience in conducting analyses for product development projects and portfolio management.
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a focus on adapting strategies to achieve optimal results.
    Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and market conditions while keeping financial goals in mind.

    Demonstrated ability to drive innovation with a focus on creating new revenue streams and improving existing products to enhance results.

    Deep understanding of the Airline and Alliances industry, market dynamics, and customer needs, with a keen awareness of how industry trends impact ROI.High level of proficiency in English is essential, as it is the sole language used for communication with Star Alliance Member Airlines and other external stakeholders.
