- Oversee and coordinate nursing operations, ensuring adequate staffing levels, appropriate patient assignments, and efficient workflow within the nursing department.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to nursing staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor patient outcomes, evaluate care plans, and make necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality care.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing homes, including nursing standards, infection control protocols, and resident rights.
- Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Act as a liaison between the nursing department and other departments within the nursing home.
- Identify ongoing educational needs and provide training opportunities to nursing staff.
- Implement programs and initiatives to enhance resident engagement and quality of life.
- Prepare reports for senior management, regulatory bodies, and accreditation agencies as required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or a related field
- Must be a Registered Nurse from SNB.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursing home or long-term care facility.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, geriatric care, and regulatory requirements governing nursing homes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned.
