Description

Our client, a global conglomerate in agriculture commodites, natural resources and manufacturing is seeking to hire a
Business Controller to work with the Group's Business Heads to take lead in end to end finance activities of its board's business.

Based in Singapore, he/she will work closely with the group's senior management from both sales and marketing teams and also production teams to ensure that the full finance value chain is properly conducted to meet production, commercial, profitability, & management targets, delivering strong customer satisfaction

Key responsibilities:

To manage overall business performance of its board's business groups to meet targeted production, volume, production & profitability
Partner Manufacturing/Production Head and commercial management to drive business and financial performance
To influence and analyse end to end costs including production, sales and marketing costs to ensure deviations from budget are understood and actions in place to meet targets
Ensure proper trading models, policies, & controls are in place
Manage proper & timely market & financial analyses to support management decision making & handle timely business & management reviews including annual budget
Ensure close monitoring & coordination of production, shipment & sales activities against target
Ensure appropriate market pricing, order backlog and proper AR management & collection
Maintain tight control over credit approvals, rebate / sales incentives and customer claims
Manage optimal inventory level for finished goods and meeting customer delivery requirements
Ensure operational / forecast discipline to meet specific business targets for compliance purposes

Requirements:

Degree in Accountancy or relevant discipline with 15 yrs working knowledge in commercial finance, financial planning & analysis experience. Prior to Big 4 accounting firms exposure and from MNCs operating within heavy / industrial manufacturing or commodity trading sectors will be highly regarded
Detailoriented with strong analytical & problemsolving skills.
Able to incorporate business considerations into management reports
An excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and other MS Office tools
Able to travel regionally, up to 40% to manufacturing/plant site.
