Roles & Responsibilities

Primary Objective(s) of Position

• Responsible for the Engine Order Management functions and Application team's engineering and administrative matters.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Preparation of engine/genset configurations for order placement to Caterpillar, as instructed
• Compile and consolidate all necessary documentation required for engine/gensets order placement for review and authorization by management before transmission of order to Caterpillar
• Order processing and order placement of engines/gensets through Caterpillar's Engine Order Management Process
• Co-ordinate closely with Caterpillar on all engine/gensets orders
• Prepare and update engines order status report
• Receive engines/gensets & attachment into SAP system
• Monitor all engine/genset inventory and co-ordinate with Warehouse regarding storage, maintenance and shortage of shipment parts
• Check and verify store receipt of engines/gensets for short – shipped items
• Prepare Purchase Requisition (PR), and liaise with the Parts Department and Suppliers
• Maintain and update work orders in the system
• Make error-in-shipment/accident claims and monitor parts arrival status when required
• Check and monitor claim status(es)
• Prepare and update engines inventory status report
• Update all engine shipment and delivery arrangement and status from Caterpillar
• Assist Application Engineer to compile engine/genset configuration and Cost Build-Up for customers
• Prepare engine/genset quotations and customer engine Purchase Orders (PO)
• Fulfill other ad hoc duties as assigned from management

Person Specifications

• Possess a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• At least 1 years of working experience in related industry;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Possess good interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Possess a high propensity for accurate information
• Highly organized to meet schedules and deadlines
• Able to write and correspond with external parties and internal departments
• Able to travel as and when required
• Knowledge on engines and gensets is a plus
• Knowledge of SAP system is a plus
