Title:

Senior Piping Engineer (Senior Piping Layout Engineer)

Responsibilities:

Plan / review 3Dmodeling using E3D/S3D for Mechanical, Safety, Soft Volumes, Escape & Transport Routes, Access & Material Handling Routes, Equipment modelling, Package modelling with required TP points, Piping and Pipe supports
Familiar with Offshore facilities
Platforms and FPSO layout design, Material handling, Piping/ Pipe support design,safety requirements
Conduct 3D Model Reviews and Weight management as per the Project requirements
Effectively manage Design changes and provide appropriate solutions as and when needed during the Project execution
Coordinate with other discipline design teams to achieve optimal use of the 3D modelling space, and minimise last minute changes to the design
Liaise closely with the pipe stress team to acquire inputs for finalising the pipe routing and pipe support locations and types
Vendor drawing review for the static Equipment's/ Rotating Equipment's/ Packages and ensure all the Nozzle orientations, Vessel cleats Support requirements are in line with Design Requirements
Perform / Check Weight management studies for Piping and Prepare and issue Piping Weight Control Report
Assist Lead Engineer for the Quality plan for Layout/ Piping Design, preparing plan & schedule, estimate, progress measurement, weight control reports, contribute for the technical presentations and write ups

Job Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with exposure to Piping layout design and weight concepts with minimum 8 years of experience
Offshore platforM/FPSO Piping & Support Design and Weight management
Shall be familiar with Offshore/ FPSO Piping layout, support and weight managment concepts
Shall be able to work independently / with minimum guidance, and coordinate well with the piping materials and stress teams besides other disciplines
Shall be able to lead and guide a team of piping / MDS designers on assigned areas / subareas
Shall have performed as Piping weight management specialist and issued Piping Weight Control reports
Shall have performed as Senior Piping Layout Engineer in similar sized Off shore platform/FPSO projects
