    Roles & Responsibilities

    Description

    The Marine Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of the vessel's engine room. The engineer will be required to perform routine maintenance, inspect and repair all engine room equipment and systems. The engineer must have knowledge of the ship's propulsion system, electrical systems, fuel systems, pumps, valves, etc. The engineer must also be able to read and interpret P&ID drawings and schematics.

    Requirements

    • Certified STCW III/1.
    • Background in Engine Room routine onboard sailing vessel or FPSO.
    • Knowledge of the ship's propulsion system, electrical systems, fuel systems, pumps, valves etc.
    • Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings and schematics (preferred).
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
