    Roles & Responsibilities

    FIG (Financial Services Investment Group) Associates work on a broad range of financial services investment opportunities and strategic business development projects across the entire Apollo platform. The FIG & Strategy team plays a pivotal role in evaluating investment opportunities across the capital structure, for Apollo and its investors through private equity-style underwriting, with a focus on financial services companies, primarily within insurance, specialty finance and asset management. The team is also responsible for building, expanding, and managing Apollo's portfolio of origination platforms. Responsibilities include financial modeling and analysis, company and industry research, portfolio management and idea generation. In addition to new investments and support business building in APAC, this role will involve the management of existing portfolio companies and platforms, including analysis with regards to performance, liquidity, financing, M&A and exit alternatives. The role involves significant exposure to the firm's most senior leadership, including the Co-Presidents and Founders.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Work as part of a team that forms the basis of Apollo's Asia Pacific growth strategy
    • Integrally support the APAC and Global FIG & Strategy team across all aspects of deal process, from thesis definition to due diligence, relationship development, analysis, negotiations, financing, portfolio company management/value-add and exit
    • Work closely with existing and upcoming financial services portfolio companies / platforms to ensure effective integration and support their strategy and growth as well as financing and capital formation
    • Form effective relationships with APAC and Global internal stakeholders to ensure efficient reporting and communication
    • Collate, organize, and construct presentation materials for various leadership forums
    • Bachelor's degree and above, with an exceptional record of academic achievement
    • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience; investment banking, asset management, or consulting
    • Strong corporate finance knowledge, with exceptional modelling skills and experience in building and managing corporate financial models
    • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Strong interpersonal skills to support communication and building relationships with internal and external counterparties
    • Excels in a rigorous, fast-paced entrepreneurial team-oriented work environment
    • Personal motivation with demonstrated success working within a team
