    Job Purpose


    Location: Tuas

    The role of a Technical Assistant III is to support activities in line with department, R&D project & functional

    standards in one or more of the following areas with direction from their line manager or supervisor:

    • Support the development of test method development activities in Fouling Control

    • Support the lab activities in development of new products and technologies in Fouling Control

    • Carry out testing of existing technologies, products and processes

    Key Accountabilities



    • Carrying out lab activities such as paint manufacture, paint application and testing of Fouling Control technologies, products and processes

    • Support the testing protocol of Fouling Control test methods e.g. Fouling culturing and performance testing in field and coating film thickness testing

    • Support the day to day technical checks of the equipment/facilities within Fouling Control to be operational

    • Manage the effective planning and day to day requirements for assigned projects and support activities

    • Consistently and effectively communicates progress and issues, both verbally and in summaries for discussion with line manager or team members

    • Use best practices to carry out, evaluate interpret experiments and suggest conclusion and next steps from laboratory work programmes for review.

    • Documents work using the appropriate reporting systems

    • Conduct, participate and evaluate trials/inspections without the need for supervision depending on experience e.g. customer, application, production processes, equipment

    • Identifies improvement needs and generates ideas for improvement activities/projects for discussion with line manager.

    • Maintains a safe working environment e.g. member of 5S team, supports H&S engagement audits, supporting BBS processes

    Experience


    Minimum Diploma holder in sciences (chemistry or biology), or equivalent. Fresh graduates are welcome.

    Transport at designated MRT stations and Lunch provided.
