Description

Background
The Kurien Jacob Company provides consulting services to the Corporate Clients. The team is responsible for enhancements to and maintenance of the systems used by the business operation.


Primary responsibilities

  • Gathering, analysing and documenting Business Requirements
  • Detailed analysis of database structures and file layouts
  • Writing clear and concise Functional Specifications describing the proposed solution to meet the Business Requirements
  • Presenting proposed solutions to senior business users to obtain their agreement to proceed
  • Liaising closely with the development team at all times to ensure correct and complete understanding of the requirements
  • Constructing and executing test plans and detailed test cases to demonstrate the adequacy of the developed solution to meet the users' needs
  • Leading or assisting users in carrying out user acceptance testing
  • Presenting tested solutions to senior business users in order to obtain their sign off
  • Coordinating and monitoring the release of the solution into the production environment
  • Performing adhoc tasks to analyse data and identify trends or provide other management information as may be required from time to time
  • Provide mentoring to colleagues in areas of technical or business expertise
  • Manage stakeholder is different countries / offsite workers.

Required experience / skills required

  • A working knowledge of systems such as:
  • Making and receiving external payments via CHAPS, Faster Payments and BACS
  • Internal record keeping (books and records) and reconciliation
  • Testing systems for FPSO
  • Must have a good understanding of compliance and Regulatory Reporting requirements of Oil and Gas, Banking and F&B
  • An understanding of key SWIFT messages
  • A working understanding of specific MI reporting to do with customer transactions, trade finance & loan agreements for Investment Banking business
  • A working knowledge of the FX Netting processing
  • Working understanding of Client On boarding process systems
  • Experience leading team in both long term and shortterm projects.
  • Experience in Fraud detection solutions implementation

Technical experience / IT skills required

  • A good knowledge of the standard project lifecycle
  • SQL
  • Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Technical architecture understanding of CASS, FlashPoint and Ignition systems

  • Ability to work without supervision and keep to deadlines
  • Clear and analytical thinking
  • Ability to express thoughts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Methodical approach
  • Attention to detail
  • PMO background required
  • Ability to converse in basic Mandarin
