What the role is
- You will be part of the Sustainability Training Development Group (STDG) which is a new setup under the Government Chief Sustainability Officer (GCSO). STDG functions as a planner, driver and coordinator for sustainability training in MSE and its Statutory Boards.
STDG oversees:
- Effective planning of sustainability training and capability development for a futureready work and workforce.
- Enhancement and rolling out of the MSE Family Sustainability Competency Framework.
- Development of key partnerships with other government agencies and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) to develop training programmes and courses.
- Implementation of curated training programmes including management of partners, oversee execution of programmes, and review of training effectiveness and impact.
- Coordination for MSE sustainability training including representing MSE at interagency platforms and coordinate coherent Ministry family positions for wholeofgovernment issues.
What you will be working on
- Develop policy and training plans for MSE Family sustainability training, taking alignment from the competency framework.
- Enhance the competency framework with competency definitions and proficiency level descriptors.
- Coordinate sustainability training efforts of MSE Family through the Sustainability Training Council, including secretariat duties.
- Develop partnerships and work with partners to develop training programmes and courses for identified competencies e.g. leadership milestone programme.
- Update/develop content and roll out eLearning primer modules.
- Manage training execution and administration, evaluation, and marketing and publicity.
- Establish processes for programme evaluation/course review, tracking of indicators, finance e.g. honorariums/cost recovery, and establish SOPs for training e.g. templates, FAQs etc.
What we are looking for
- Tertiary qualifications in any discipline.
- Good knowledge in environmental and sustainability issues.
- Relevant experience in training and pedagogy development.
- Independent, motivated, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
