    Roles & Responsibilities

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Manage gasoil and gasoline related physical and derivatives trading risks stringently in accordance to company compliance and risk management policies;
    • Complete the annual work plans, assessment objectives and budgets of gasoil and gasoline book;
    • Responsible for the reception, negotiation and relationship maintenance of relevant trade parties such as resource supply, logistics transportation and terminal demand of relevant oil products;
    • Develop new businesses and markets, improve and optimize current business models to improve its value proposition to customers/end users;
    • Manage and optimize the operation of the storage of relevant oil products, effectively managing the inventory in accordance with the company's derivatives management measures;
    • Be part of the ship chartering decision-making process of relevant oil products according to the company's chartering management system;
    • Responsible for relevant oil products market supply and demand outlook;
    • Develop and expand regional trades, assist relevant departments to carry out risk pre assessment and feasibility study on the relevant markets, facilitate the company's physical and sales assets to achieve the desired results;
    • Assist in the research, development and evaluation of new products and trading models to improve the profitability of the business;
    • Responsible for timely entry of the trade entry system/database (CXL), establishing the business database, putting forward optimization suggestions for the relevant business systems of the company, and maintaining the data during the operation of the system;
    • Collection of trade receivables;
    • Be responsible for other ad-hoc work assigned by Head of Department.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor in Chemical Engineering/ Business Management/ related field or equivalent;
    • Min. 5 years trading experience (physical and derivatives) in gasoil and gasoline trading and good knowledge in gasoil, gasoline and fuel oil operations/logistics;
    • In-depth understanding of refining economics, market and pricing structure in related gasoil and gasoline trading area;
    • Able to run a trading book independently;
    • Hands-on and execution-focused attitude and able to work independently with minimum supervision;
    • Willingness to work in a challenging, fast paced environment and to adapt to situations as they arise;
    • Excellent people skills and communication skills;
    • Strong attention to details and effective analytical skills with ability to understand complex information;
    • Good ethics and professional conduct, and with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit;
    • Good organisational, time management skills and stress tolerance with proven ability to manage multiple priorities;
    • Willingness to travlel;
    • Effectively bilingual in both English and Mandarin (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese speaking associates verbally/ in writing whenever appropriate).
