    Qualification Requirements

    If you are pursuing the 24-month Bachelor of Social Work (BSWK), applicants must be non-degree holders with:

    • GCE 'A' Level with two passes (prior to 2007) or two H2 Passes (from 2007) or
    • Local Polytechnic Diploma/NUS High School Diploma/SSI Diploma in Social Service or
    • Any other equivalent.
    • Applicants with acceptable SAT score may be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis.

    If you are pursuing the 18-month Graduate Diploma of Social Work (GDSWK), applicants must possess a non-social work undergraduate degree from a recognised institution.

    Job Description

    Social Work Practice:

    • Assist Social Workers in the daily functioning of assigned tasks and follow-up care of the clients
    • Work as a team in the use of resources and recommend ways for effective mobilisation of resources
    • Liaise and work with external agencies and organise events/projects
    • Prepare report consolidation for management's use
    • Assist Social Workers in financial duties such as disbursement and tracking of assistance schemes and budget reconciliation
    • Ensure compliance with service standards, performance indicators, and operating guidelines as per MSF and SINDA's requirements

    Casework and Information & Referrals:

    • Gather information and carry out preliminary assessment of clients' needs
    • Work closely with Social Workers to evaluate for a holistic assessment of clients

    Others:

    • Participate in SINDA-wide events when required
    • All other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Reporting Officer and Head of Department

    • Meticulous and Proficient in MS Office (e.g.: Excel, PowerPoint)
