Description
Be a dedicated resource and the primary point of contact for for the pertinent business unit he/she is assigned.


Provide advice on all procurement matters to the users in the business unit, and assist to plan the procurement strategy and approach for the execution of the procurement requests.

Where necessary consult, and seek directions from Procurement Director and designated RO from Procurement Department.


Coordinate and execute the procurement activities; monitor and report on the progress of these activities to both business unit and Procurement management periodically.


  • Be a dedicate resource and the primary point of contact for the pertinent business unit assigned to
  • Analyse, strategize, plan and implement sourcing strategy for the categories of products and services for the business unit.
  • Drive the initiatives to consolidate, rationalise and streamline for better savings, and vendor management.
  • Manage and support endtoend procurement activities such as Request for Proposal, Request for Quotation and maintenance contract renewal.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers.
  • Provide support in reviewing and writing approval papers.
  • Identify opportunities and implement actions to reduce overall costs
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with procurement policy and relevant guidelines/regulations.
  • Address queries and resolve issue on procurement matters for the assigned areas.
  • Assist in the formulation and review of procurement policies and procedures to ensure they support business objectives of IHiS and are aligned with the principles of procurement in the public healthcare sector.
  • Assist to collate the necessary data and information to generate periodic updates management on procurement related matters.

Requirements:


  • Possess strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, withan ability to work with people at all levels
  • Team player who is also able to work independently to deliverresults with mínimal guidance, and motivate team members to perform at theirbest.
  • Experience in IT procurement is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Possess strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Pay attention to details and focus on quality of works.
  • Ability to think out of the box, challenge status quo and developsolution.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Supply Chain/BusinessAdministration/IT/Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Preferably have at least 8 years of experiencein procurement with mínimally 3 years of supervisory experience. Experience informulation and review of procurement policies and procedures is advantageous.
